Personal drama, historical preservation set to collide at Vintage Theatre

first_imgWith DNA testing, private genealogists, improved record-keeping and the infinite collection of archives on the internet it seems almost impossible that some of human history is fading. In the play “The Language Archive,” George tries to preserve the dying languages of distant cultures foreign to him. Just as foreign to him is his wife, Mary, whom he feels palpable disconnection. A love triangle is formed when his assistant, Emma, develops deep feelings for him. With enough drama and historical obsession, “The Language Archive” offers a look at how languages can change everything in our lives.Performances are Fridays and Saturdays, 7:30 P.M. and Sundays at 2:30 P.M., May 10 to June 16.
