first_imgTwo injured in collision involving dump truck and carPosted by ClarkCountyToday.comDate: Monday, August 17, 2020in: Newsshare 0 Both drivers sustained non-life threatening injuries in Monday morning crashVancouver Fire Department crews were dispatched to a collision involving a commercial dump truck and a car in the area of Padden Parkway and 152nd Avenue in Vancouver Monday morning. The 9-1-1 call came in just before 7:30 a.m. Monday (Aug. 17). Fire crews arrived quickly and found a car with the passenger side completely ripped off, resting against a fence at a 30-degree angle along with a dump truck hauling approximately 70,000 pounds of dirt in the west bound lanes. Drivers of a commercial dump truck and a car involved in a Monday morning collision in Vancouver each sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center for treatment. Photo courtesy of Joe Hudson/Vancouver Fire DepartmentAn extra fire engine, a battalion chief and a second ambulance were requested to the scene for assistance. The west bound lanes were covered in dirt and fire crews had the outside lane closed for about an hour. An adult female was assisted out of her heavily damaged vehicle by placing a backboard in the car so she could be safely removed. She was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. Despite the significant damage of the car, she suffered non-life threatening injuries. The adult male driving the dump truck was also transported to an area hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
